There is plenty to do in Hanmer, including mountain biking, golf, and a craft market.

Hanmer Springs hosts many events of interest every year. Summer is outdoors time, with several mountain bike, running and duathlon events held every year.

Summer also brings the A & P show, while the Golf Club holds frequent events and tournaments throughout the year. Christmas is a time for community celebrations, with Carol singing at the hot pools and a Christmas Parade.

The Art and Craft Market is held every Saturday from Labour Weekend until the end of April.
